Text Box: On September 12, 2007, a casual yet formal interview ensued with President Heidi Hokanson, regarding the upcoming Halloween Party. Loosely quoting Heidi, the Halloween Party is a party and fundraiser simultaneously, via ticket admission, food, beverages, and the newly featured “Jail,” a successful feature where a student would pay $2 to put his or her friend in “Jail.” Many booths featuring games and face painting were also available. Last year’s Haunted House was “awesome,” according to TJ Sallah. Wearing a costume to last year’s Halloween Party resulted in a discount on admission and the opportunity to be part of the costume contest,
judged by the teachers.

Text Box: Future plans for the Halloween Party are “speculative,” Heidi asserting simply that, “The Student Council will discuss.” Although she said that the previous Halloween parties went fine, this year’s Halloween party will face several challenges, one being the new school building. With a new setting, will the Halloween Party go on without a hitch? Will Heidi’s closing comment of, “Hopefully we can make this year good,” come to fruition? The answers to these questions cannot be answered at this time, but if you want the answers to be yes, then you should contribute your ideas and suggestions at the approaching planning meetings.
