Students of all ages, grades, and backgrounds took up the challenge of winning a spot on this years ruling circle. In addition to their own unique campaigning strategeies, each of them brought with them their own personal ways to contribute to our school.
From the very start, the competition stiffened

Text Box: considerably. Mikola Stewart, currently a sophomore from Canada, ran a hard campaign for International Representative by adding “Vote for me!” to any greeting.
Lucas Tecun (senior) went as far as to line the hallway with posters showing pictures of himself and “Lucas for president!” printed on each. Of course others responded to this by drawing a thick beard and mustache on every picture in a wide assortment of

Text Box: colors. Unfortunately for Lucas, the position of president had already been filled.
The competition for the prestigious position of Vice president was incredible this year. We had best friends all but arguing heatedly over the upcoming election. Of course it hasn’t helped that the delegated president had been encouraging more and more people to join the running, and therefore adding wood to the fire.
In our school we have two vice presidents, one representing each gender, Text Box: so competition between male and female candidates was nonexistent. This resulted in a fifty percent reduction to possible skirmishes between competing parties.
Congratulations to: Vice presidents I-yeon Kim and Katsu Washitani; International Rep. Mikola Stewart; Secretary Matthew Breland; Tresurer Abby Asamoah; Freshmen Rep. Shinna Tsuchihashi; Sophomore Rep. Insung Harbour; Junior Rep. Andrew Stewart; Senior Rep. Conrad Moore; and President Heidi Hokanson.
	Good luck!
