Text Box: The Seaside house is an all girls dorm for international students, located in the apartments next to the school. It was completed in April with six girls living there. This year additional rooms have been added making five spacious bedrooms, each room containing a large closet,

Text Box: two or three beds and the same number of desks and complementary desk lamp. We have ten high school students and two staff members living there; Jonghwa Bessell the secretary, and Kirsten Abrahams-Zambon the girls’ gym teacher. The dorm parents are Michelle and Tokuo Nishiwaki with their two year old daughter. The house has three bathrooms, a small lounge for the students with a TV and computer, as well as a larger living room for the whole house.

Text Box: Seaview is the dormitory for the international boys who go to Bridgeport International Academy. It is a three story house with a basement that has a weight set in it, a laundry machine and a dryer. Seaview has eight dorm rooms. Each room has two beds, two

The second floor has six bedrooms, five of which are being used as dormitories, as well as three bathrooms and a TV and gaming room. The ground level floor is where breakfast and all meals on weekends are eaten. Mr. & Mrs. Carl Zambon, the house parents, and their family, including the BIA boy’s gym teacher Mike Zambon, make their residence on the first floor.

Text Box: The Seaside Institute building is on the corner of Lafayette Street and Atlantic Street. In September, 1996, a private school, Bridgeport Hope School (K-8), was built on the first floor; it was separated from the rest of the apartments. This year, Bridgeport International Academy moved into the second floor, which was recently gutted and renovated into a beautiful, new school.
Prior to this, BIA used a university dormitory, Cooper Hall, as the educational facility. BIA at Seaside Text Box: Institute has 9 classrooms, including 2 computer labs, and a lunchroom. It has a class for English/Literature, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science.
There are new lockers for all students, as well as a lounge area where they can

Text Box: relax between classes. There is an assembly room where all the students gather, and offices for the administration. Overall, the second floor of the Seaside Institute building is a great new school for BIA.
