Welcome to the BIA Yoga Page! Ms. Hodzic instructs the Yoga Class for BIA in 2007. Yoga class is a new innovation for BIA, and has many excited students. Aerobics is also taught in that class to make sure the students stay in shape. What is Yoga? Yoga is a word from Sanskrit, a classical language which originates from the land of India. It has a large range of meanings, but is commonly known as "joining" or "uniting." This "joining" or "uniting" is in reference the unity of the body, mind, and spirit.

What are the benefits of Yoga? Yoga, if performed correctly, improves muscle tone, flexibility, and strength. It also helps reduce stress, anxiety, tension, and depression. It brings happiness and leads to energy and rejuvination, and it promotes further cooperation between the mind, body, and spirit.

Is there an age limit for Yoga? No, there are no restrictions based on age. However, one should not do Yoga positions or postures that are unfeasible to his or her age.
