The Bridgport WAIT Team

What is WAIT?
WAIT is a teen performing arts group that teaches HIV/AIDS prevention using breakdancing, hip hop, singing, dancing, and acting.
WAIT shows how HIV attacks the body, how it is spread and how we can stop it.
WAIT team members are mostly 13 to 19 years old, and are all volunteers.
They use their creativity to teach while they are each developing their own gifts and talents.
The Brideport WAIT team was established May 2005 and has been fully operational for about a year.
The WAIT team goes out to schools, churches, community centers and anywhere else they are invited and gives a performance that is about
45 minutes long.

An informative SKIT that shows what happeneds to a girl named Jill when she is infected with HIV
WAIT also performs a gameshow questionaire to keep ths audience in a learning state while at the time same having fun..
WAIT conveys powerful and needed messages through songs SONGS...
DANCES...
Finally at the end (well known to the WAIT members as "THE FINAL ACT") WAIT has one last act where they welcome up the audience and whoever else is
there to come up and dance with them.
The WAIT team is a much needed program which instills a sense of value and worth in peoples lives and love. Through the message of abstinece the WAIT team
encourages teens and youth to take a stand in their lives and become people who live the WAIT message every day.
